Hey Guys! Are any of you going to Ringcon 2007 in November (London)? I have my ticket (just the basic one) already so if any of you want to come join me for three days with the cast/crew of LOTR grab a ticket and let me know. I'm going to grab the Megabus down most likely as its the cheapest travel option so can always meet you on the bus!
I'll check back in here next week so try and send me a message here before Monday 10th September if you want to come so we can arrange things properly.

Just a little update for you all - I have now booked tickets to see Beecake in January so I'm not taking any more bookings through me for tickets, but if you want to go send me a message and I'll link you the details - there is a group of seven of us heading through to Glasgow for the gig (8pm barfly) so if you book let me know so we can meet you there, the more the merrier! :D

To all those fab folk I met at the Oran Mor gig this summer for The Angels Share/West End Festival 2006...I have an invitation for you all...
...How would you like a reunion of sorts at Billy's next gig...he has changed name to 'BeeCake' and they are playing at 8pm at the BarFly in Glasgow on Jan 26th...look up Beecake on myspace for the links to get tickets (£5 each...bargain!). Also you can buy Beecake T-shirts signed by the band for about 30 quid from their Myspace page (limited edition...only 100 made!) as well and listen to them play online.
Anywho, lemme know what you think...I am going to be there possibly with some friends from uni so send me a message if you want to join us - most likely to get train from waverly on the day and grab the last train back at 11.30 (assuming he doesn't pull another all nighter like last time!). Would be good to see you guys again and have some more LOTR natterings!

Do any of you tech-heads out there know of a way I can convert a 5 minute video VOB file to AVI (or similar) so it can be uploaded...I'm looking for free software for a mac and all I can find are windows based progs or pay-for apps. Any ideas? Cheers Guys! xxx |

Ok so I know that Halloween 2006 is over but my flatmate and I didn't have time to make pumpkins until today due to us both having to work Halloween. Anywho, I thought you guys might find my little pumpkin quite amusing...I decided to go with a whole 'South Park' theme and made an 'Oh-My-God-You-Self-Combusted-Kenny' pumpkin! IConsidering its been a while since I got to grips with pumpkin making I was rather impressed with myself! ...What do you think???....

Hey guys!
Ok so who has been watching 'Lost' season 3 already? I'm so addicted to that show its ridiculous! lol! I'm not going to put up anything about what happens yet as I'm guessing a few of you are still watching the end of season 2 on E4 and I don't want to spoil things for you, but yeah its brilliant! Sooo many answers...sooo many new questions! Oh and need I mention the new guy, the guy from the movie 'Love Actually'...OMG! :D Happy face...huge happy face! :P he he he! I wonder if the island-noobs will be at Comicon next year to help promote the show, something to ponder on! :)
Well its getting pretty late so when I have something interesting to report I'll let you know...until then sleep tight munchkins!

Hey all...After all the excitement of being away in New Zealand for the summer I am now back in the UK and to keep things lively have decided to give this LJ thing a proper chance...
Lets see...I am still living in Edinburgh in my crappy apartment with a kick ass bedroom...aka my 'Castle'! When you walk into my room you have to go through the cleaning cupboard on the bottom floor of the pad (very Narnia-esque!) until you find the enclosed wooden spiral staircase hiding at the back (hence the 'Castle' nickname!)...once you swirl and twirl your way to the top you come out into the weirdest shaped room on the planet...no windows...just three skylights, and the side walls go diagonally out and back again as if you were in an alien spacecraft! To top things off I also have a secret trapdoor through wall that goes into a part of the roof space...fondly known as the 'Batcave' due to its 'highly secret' location...behind a well-placed poster! lol!
I'm currently doing a total spring clean of my room (with the help of the Ebay seller system!) so its getting a little makeover at the moment! The downside to this is that my room is now full of boxes of stuff to sell on ebay so it looks like I'm moving house. I bought a cheap little glass corner unit from a store on Southbridge and made a breakfast bar next to the Tassimo setup so I can be mega-lazy in the mornings and have breakfast in bed every day...its my little luxury corner...my own starbucks! lol! I love it! :)
Well, I'm pretty sure I don't have to be back in work until 2pm tomorrow afternoon so I am going to shoot off and get some good kip in so I can clear another box of stuff tomorrow...its a big job but kinda fun...especially now I have a mini-shredder machine to get rid of all those unwanted bits of paper I've been hording! I'm doing good too...I managed to recycle my old envelopes and mail by shredding it and weaving the pieces back together to make a new funky mouse pad for my computer! :)

| Back from New Zealand and all things Hobbit-y! |

Hey Guys!
It has been a while huh! I have just made it back from my roadtrip to 'Middle Earth' (New Zealand!)...yup, thats where I was all summer long, hence my silence online!...and now I have recovered from the jetlag I am getting back up and running online again!
I have a ton of photos and videos from my trip which those LOTR nuts amongst you might like (I'll have them up asap!)...in short I basically have some cool on site footage at Hobbiton, the Pellanor Fields, Edoras, Rivendell, Mount Doom and the Oliphants....and about 4000 other shots from these locations and more, my fave being the 'Get off the road!!!!' scene in 'vicki-park' wellington.
I'll be putting my photos up on flickr over the next month...I took more photos than their upload allows in a month so it will actually take me a month to upload them there! lol!

| Annie Lennox! |

Annie Lennox was at my work today wearing a rather 'fetching' Burberry sunhat (for discretion!) - She didn't go on my tour (I'm a tour guide) but did take one of my colleagues tours and seemed to have a great time...she was even nice enough to give her tour guide an autograph and toss the rest of us a grin on the way down the Royal Mile! Aparently she was in Glasgow yesterday being given an honorary degree for her contribution to the music world, so congrats Annie! Unfortunately, five minutes after she left our building it started to bucket it down with rain and I'm pretty sure Annie and her friend didn't have a brolly between them so there was probably a soggy little Lennox party wandering about the city...bless! :D
I'm afraid I don't have any photos of Annie Lennox though - I was dressed as a 16th century maid at the time and a camera wasn't quite the authentic accessory at hand...didn't even have a pen, so did the next best thing and just grinned at her! lol!
Now, if only Billy Boyd will take me up on my offer of a free tour then I'll be a very happy gal! :D

Ok, so as requested here are the rest of the photos I have from the Billy Boyd gig! Thats it...finito...diddlysquat left! I do have some (awful quality) phone-video footage but it was taken with a rockr (anyone who has one will understand when I say how bad the video clips turn out! (it has like 4 pixels in total by the looks of the quality here!) so ill see if I can modify it but otherwise I wont be posting it as its too shoddy to get anything good out of it!
For now tho, I'm off to bed (finally) so I'll speak to you guys soon!

Hey Guys!
Ok, so my first journal entry online! As you may come to learn, I am a little bit of a mad thing when it comes to all things hobbit (aka. Lord of the Rings) so you will not be surprised to hear that I was more than a little excited last week when none other than Billy Boyd himself was standing in a bar with me having a wee chat before he headed on stage to perform with his band 'The Angels Share' as part of Glasgow's 2006 West End Festival. Having been completely unsuccessful at convincing any one of my friends, colleagues, family or uni-mates to come with me (pathetic fools!) I thought bugger it, I'm going alone...and so I trudged my way along by my lonesome to the Oran Mor and suddenly...as if by magic....a 'fellowship' of LOTR crazies joined me for the night! And a bunch of awesome folk they turned out to be too, so was quite chuffed that I went stag in the end! :D
Anyway, the main point of this post was to let you all grab a few moments of boyd-ism from the night so take a peek at the pics, and as promised I'll start loading up the rest of them for the viewing pleasure of 'Bondensbabe' ...enjoy, and good night!
